Issue 46: Non Half Hourly Interoperability

Formal title: Non Half Hourly Interoperability

Current Status

Elexon has investigated issues around interoperability in the Non Half Hourly (NHH) market, considering what lessons can be learnt from the Half Hourly (HH) market.

Elexon believes that NHH processes could be strengthened, for example, by introducing protocol testing for advanced Meters in Profile Classes 5 to 8 or raising a change to clarify the rules for Outstation Protocol approvals where HH Metering Equipment is used for NHH Metering Systems.

The SVG agrees that Elexon should form an Issue Group to look at all the issues associated with interoperability in the NHH Market (including the role of the new non-BSC Smart Metering System Operator (SMSO)).

Progression

Issue 46 was raised by Elexon on 4 April 2013. The Issue 46 Report will be presented to Panel at its meeting on 12 December 2013.
